Football cookies Happy Super Bowl Sunday! Are you excited about the game, or are you excited about the game being over? I’m not a football fan, so the extent of my Game Day preparations involve making sure there are plenty of snacks, starting with my homemade stuffed potato skins. But before my guys get to dig in, I’ve asked them to sweep the garage floor, take out the trash and gas up my minivan before they get to start noshing. Bribery? I suppose you could call it that. I prefer to think of it as ‘resource management’. Ha!

Anyway, if you’re as disinterested in football as I am, here are some links to keep you entertained.

My friend Rave wrote an awesome post about how to make your own dryer balls.

I really want to try these salt and vinegar potato chips from the dehydrator. Maybe for Super Bowl Sunday?

Some very clever kitchen hacks here!

Who doesn’t love their crock pot? Here are seven tips for better slow-cooking results.

It’s Girl Scout cookie season, and yet no one’s rung my doorbell. Thankfully, I found recipes for homemade Girl Scout cookies. Take that, you little snack pushers!

Finally, you know how much I hate the stereotype says that housewives watch soap operas all day. Everyone knows the best soap opera is Downton Abbey, and that it’s on at night! Do you find the costumes and settings fascinating like I do? Then you’ll love this wonderful series about Downton Abbey etiquette. For those of you who watch the show, who’s your favorite character? (No spoilers, please!!!)

Enjoy your Sunday, everyone. See you tomorrow!

Ooh, Downton Abbey!

I admit I am hooked on the series but you are making me really exercise my mind to choose a fave character..lol.

Okay, if I must I choose…Carson. While stiff and stodgy on most occasions, the script allows for a quiet range of emotions each of which I think are performed beautifully.

Oh, Carson is wonderful, isn’t he? And you’re absolutely right about the quiet range of beautifully performed emotions. I do know what you mean about how hard it is to choose a favorite. I absolutely adore the Dowager Countess (who doesn’t?) and Daisy.
