Many of us ring in the New Year by resolving to get an organized and clean home finally. It’s a Resolution that’s not as seemingly straightforward as, say, going to the gym regularly or making time to read more often.
That’s why I’ve come up with this 30-day series to guide you through purging clutter, organizing your belongings, and cleaning your home top to bottom.
And did I mention, it’s free?
You don’t need to sign up for anything — though if you want to get notified once a week about my latest blog posts you’re welcome to subscribe to my newsletter. All you need to do is check in daily over the next thirty days and follow that day’s action plan.
Get an Organized and Clean Home in 30 Days!
Does It Really Take 30 Days?
Do you really need an entire month to declutter, organize, and clean your house? Maybe, maybe not. The answer is different for everyone.
Perhaps your home is already tidy. Someone else’s might not be. Maybe you’re full of energy and have a few days free to tackle your entire home. Someone else may be facing physical challenges, or work full-time, or both.
Perhaps you live in a cozy two-bedroom home with no kids. Another person might have four or five bedrooms, several bathrooms, and a busy, large family.
The point is this:
Over half a million people read this blog every month. Each one of those people leads a different life in a different home and has different demands on their time and energy than you do.
This plan is flexible yet detailed so it can be adapted to fit your needs, which may be entirely different to someone else’s.
You Can Spend More OR Fewer Than 30 Days
Each day’s mission focuses on decluttering, organizing, and cleaning one area in the home, plus spending a few minutes maintaining what you’ve accomplished.
If your home is small and mostly tidy, you might only need a half-hour or so to do that day’s mission.
On the other hand, if you’re coming to this series because the clutter and mess in your home feel overwhelming, you might need more time each day, or more than thirty days to do it all.
Think of the Plan as a Road Map
We’re all heading for the same destination: getting an organized, clean home for the New Year.
Some people like to take their time traveling, stopping to stretch their legs or stay a while at a comfortable spot.
Others prefer to barrel through, getting as far as they can every day and only pausing when necessary.
Do what works for you!
The Plan Will ROCK Your Home
Every day’s mission has four parts to it. We refer to the process as ROCKing our home, so it’s easy to remember the steps.
