The tradition of Spring Cleaning dates back to the days when people burned wood or coal fires to stay warm all winter. With doors and windows shut tight to keep the heat in and cold out, a greasy layer of soot coated every surface.
Once the temperatures warmed up and daylight hours grew longer, they’d haul everything outside, scrub rooms from top to bottom, then wash items before dragging them back indoors.
Fortunately, you don’t need to Spring Clean that thoroughly. But, if you’re looking for help getting your home and its contents fresh and clean for the year, this is the place to start!
